If you had your picture made for the directory and you have not picked up your directory, please come by the Parish office by February 6^th  between the hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday thru Thursday and between 8:00am and 3:00pm on Friday and pick up your directory.  All directories not picked up by Monday, February 6^th, will go on sale for $5.00 starting February 7^th at the parish office

THE 2012 BISHOP’S ANNUAL APPEAL
“Let Us Be Imitators of Christ”
The 2012 Bishop’s Annual Appeal began in November with a mailing to a limited number of early contributors. Now the full campaign begins with a mailing that many of our parishioners have received. This is a mailing from Bishop Farrell asking for a pledge to the 2012 Bishop’s Annual Appeal. The Appeal not only funds the operations of the Diocese, it funds services that are of
great help to the ministries here in our parish. For example, funds support Marriage Encounters, Catechist training, youth activity, and ministries. This year, the theme of the Appeal is: “Let Us Be Imitators of Christ”. We are all challenged to try to live our lives using the life of Christ as an example. Christ gave us the path to eternal life. His love for each of us cannot be taken lightly. As we contemplate His gifts to us, we should also reflect on our gratitude for these gifts. Your financial support for the work our parish, of our diocese and of the Church throughout the world is, in fact, one way to express this gratitude. Please read the materials that you will receive and prayerfully consider making a generous contribution. Our parish goal is $78,000.00. With your support, we can reach and exceed this goal. Please answer the Bishop’s request and make a generous pledge. All pledges will be billed in ten monthly installments. Thank you in advance for your support.

CAMPAÑA ANUAL DEL OBISPO 2012
“Seamos Imitadores de Cristo”
La Campaña Anual del Obispo del 2012 comienza en Noviembre con el envío de un número limitado de cartas a contribuyentes anticipados. Ahora la campaña comienza con una carta que muchos de nuestros feligreses han recibido. Este es una carta del Obispo Farrell pidiendo que hagan un compromiso para la Campaña Anual del Obispo del 2012. La Campaña no solamente financia las operaciones de la Diócesis, financia servicios que son de gran ayuda para los ministerios de nuestra parroquia. Por ejemplo, los fondos apoyan Encuentro de matrimonio, entrenamiento de catequista, actividades juveniles y ministerios. Este año, el tema de la Campaña es “Seamos Imitadores de Cristo”. Todos somos desafiados a intentar vivir nuestras vidas tomando la vida de Cristo como ejemplo. Cristo nos ha mostrado el camino hacia la vida
eterna. No podemos tomar su amor hacia nosotros a la ligera. Al contemplar Sus dones debemos reflexionar en ellos y estar agradecidos por ellos. Su apoyo financiero al trabajo de nuestra
parroquia, de nuestra diócesis y de la Iglesia en todo el mundo es,de hecho, una forma de expresar nuestra gratitud. Por favor lea los materiales que recibirá y considere en forma orante
efectuar una generosa contribución. El objetivo de nuestra parroquia es $78,000. Con tu apoyo, podemos alcanzar y sobrepasar nuestra meta.  Por favor responda a la petición del Obispo comprometiéndose generosamente. Todas las promesas serán facturadas en diez cuotas mensuales. CDA SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE (for boys and girls) from the Jean Davidson Fund - $500 for college, $250 for Catholic High School, and $50 for Home School.  Applications are available in the narthtex, the church office, on line at the parish website  www.saint-anthony.com under CDA organization, or contact Karla Warborg 972-941-8266. DUE DATE is March 10, 2012.

Bishop Kevin Farrell calls upon the Catholic community to participate in a survey regarding Catholic education.  Whether or not you have school-aged children, the Bishop urges everyone to participate in the survey. The Bishop’s Strategic Planning Committee was appointed in early 2011 to review the effectiveness of the Diocesan schools and make recommendations that will chart the course for the future.  The Committee will study the survey results together with all the data collected during its research.  Please take this short, anonymous survey by going to www.cathdal.org and click on the survey icon.  If a computer survey isn’t possible for you, please call 214-379-3159 to arrange to take the survey via telephone. The survey is open for participation as early as January 28^th and closes on February 13^th.
 
El Obispo Kevin Farrell llama a toda la comunidad católica a participar en una encuesta sobre la educación católica.  Tengan o no hijos de edad escolar, el Obispo urge a todo el mundo a participar de la encuesta.  El Comité de Planificación Estratégica del Obispo fue nombrado a comienzos del 2011 para estudiar la eficacia de las escuelas católicas y formular recomendaciones para trazar el curso para el futuro.  El Comité analizará los resultados, una vez que se haya recopilado toda la información obtenida de la encuesta.  Por favor, responda a esta encuesta corta y anónima yendo al sitio www.cathdal.org y haga un clic en el icono de la encuesta.  Si no es posible responder a la encuesta en la computadora, por favor, llame al 214-379-3159 para hacer los arreglos para tomar la encuesta por teléfono.  La encuesta estará disponible desde el 28 de enero hasta el 13 de febrero.
